Svetogorsk PPM
Swedish Baron Adi Standerskjöld bought a land plot with the area of 16 hectares at the river Vuoksa. Construction of a ground wood mill (predecessor of a board and paper factory) and residential settlement was started in the same year. The Baron named the mill and the area as Enso (“Firstborn”).
In February 1889 the mill produced its first goods, which were sent to Vyborg using horse-drawn transport.
The town of Enso was renamed as Svetogorsk.

Svetogorsk, OAO (Open Joint Stock Company) was renamed as International Paper, ZAO (Closed Joint Stock Company)
Tikhvinsky KLPKh, ZAO (Closed Joint Stock Company) (Tikhvin Complex Timber Industry Enterprise) becomes a part of the Company

The Company was spun off from International Paper as a part of the new group of companies called Sylvamo
The Company was sold to a Russian shareholder and was renamed as Svetogorsk PPM, NPAO (Private Joint Stock Company)
The Company’s management announced plans on implementing the large investment program: the Mill intends to invest over 1 billion rubles in further modernization and development of projects related to health, safety, and environment
The company completed transactions for acquiring control of two suppliers: Walki, OOO (Limited Liability Company) (produces packaging) and KBR East, ZAO (Closed Joint Stock Company) (maintenance and equipment reliability management). These companies were renamed as SvetoPak, OOO (Limited Liability Company) and SvetoTekhService, NPAO (Private Joint Stock Company) accordingly
